7 Trials of Poseidon

NEPTUNE GOD OF THE DEEP has spoken!! My trusty patron and I have answered your childish riddles with ease!  You will need to be cleverer than that to fool the great Poseidon!

1.        The Deity being referred to in the first question Bastet, Baast or Ubasti the goddess of cats and the daughter of Ra.   Here is footage of me with one of Bastet avatars.

2. The three names mentioned in the lament are Hermaphroditus, Mercury (Hermes) and Venus (Aphrodite).
Psychological Evaluation of Aphrodite
The patient, Aphrodite (Venus/Friday), is currently in a state of shock and is most likely suffering from a Major Depressive Episode brought on by several intensely traumatic events.  It would be best to begin with the patient’s emotional and psychological history, and work up to the most recent events which have resulted in the patient’s current state.  Ever since her early years, Aphrodite has been sexually precocious, experimenting with her sexuality at a very young age and entering into relationships with older suitors.  Aphrodite is strikingly beautiful and is well aware of the effect she has on males, often using her seductiveness to manipulate men into carrying out her desires.  Due to her flirtatious nature and her penchant for infidelity, Aphrodite’s relationships often lead to quarrels between current and former lovers, quarrels which have the potential to erupt into violent conflicts between the Gods.  It appears as though Aphrodite’s current psychological state is a result of one such conflict which escalated further than anyone involved might have anticipated.
Long ago, Aphrodite’s unparalleled beauty made her the envy of all the Gods, even Zeus, who desired to make Aphrodite his wife for all of eternity.  When Aphrodite spurned his advances, Zeus punished her by forcing her to marry Hephaestus, the ugliest of all the Gods.  This only encouraged Aphrodite to seek the company of more attractive and powerful Gods, and eventually she had a lengthy affair with Ares, the mighty God of War.  Aphrodite and Ares produced numerous children together, but the Goddess’ sexual urges were still not fulfilled, and she had yet another affair with Hermes (Mercury/Wednesday), which resulted in the birth of Hermaphroditus (“My balder son”).  Aphrodite and Hermes began to develop a strong bond, but unfortunately for Aphrodite, Ares is a vengeful God, and when he learned of Aphrodite’s infidelity, he responded in an extreme manner.  Ares punished Aphrodite for her unfaithfulness by first killing Hermaphroditus, and subsequently murdering Hermes, leaving Aphrodite in her current state of shock and depression.

4) The air is rich with salt as the sea breeze warmly roles across the land.  The people who inhabit this beautiful island call them selves the Algonquian.  The civilization is educated and innovative in their building and survival skills.  They seem to be one with the ocean, using its resources to their fullest potential. They even have a currency in the form of beautiful rare shells. The colony that is here is a tightly governed and their building strategies are impeccable. The drawing bellow is the colony gathering among their magnificent structures around a fire in ceremony(1587).

5) The Deity Ganesha is the remover of obstacles.  Question #5 was difficult at first glance but to remove it completely would be what Ganesha may do.  Question #5 is our obstacle and it has been removed.

7) As the God of the deeps this fountain represents all that I believe in. As the water shoots from above it reminds me of my powers in a very small mortal way. This on the University of Vermont Kappus would be the only place for true tranquility and piece for the God of the sea Poseidon
